ACAP provides all patient meals and manages the kitchen at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital- Part of The University of Vermont Health Network.
Nutrition Program for the Elderly
Essex County residents aged 60 and over can enjoy healthy, nutritious meals at congregate meal centers or through home delivered meals, contributions towards the cost of this service are accepted.
Congregate meal sites are located throughout Essex County. Older adults enjoy nutritious meals and socialization as well as educational, recreational and health related opportunities. Congregate meal centers provide a warm comfortable atmosphere for individuals to gather to enjoy a meal and activities.
Home delivered meals are available for older adults who are home bound or have a nutritional need. Meals are delivered Monday- Friday to all towns in Essex County. Staff delivering meals also provide an person check of the older adult’s well-being.
