Sometimes Santa arrives in an ambulance???
Lisa Hudson and Patty Bashaw deliver an abundance of toys collected by the Elizabethtown-Lewis Ambulance squad to support ACAP’s Holidays Are For Sharing program. “ It was Lisa’s idea to do this,” stated Patty Bashaw, Squad President, “she spearheaded the effort and did a great job for our first year.” Lisa challenged squad members and the community to help her fill the ambulance with toys and she came pretty close. Lisa says that she expect they will receive more toys over the next few days.
“This couldn’t have come at a better time” says Program Coordinator Cindy Cobb. “We pack for around 600 children every year. The program is supported entirely by donations and efforts like this are what allow us to make sure every child receives new toys under the tree.”
