Dozer Day is not only a fun, family-oriented activity, all the proceeds from the event benefit local children’scharities and this year awards included ACAP’s After School Program.  Marjorie Zmijewski, Program Manager, and Alan Jones, ACAP Executive Director attended the event where they were presented a check to support the continuation of afterschool programming in Essex County.  The program has struggled with funding and is waiting to see if some of the sites will be refunded.  Marge Z thanked the Kiwanis and talked about how much the program means to the children enrolled.

Coordinated by the Plattsburgh Breakfast Kiwanis Club and co-sponsored by Nortrax Equipment and Graymont Materials, the event annually attracts 3,000 or more people. Staff participated in the event for the first time this year having games and prizes for children.  The event has grown over the past 4 years and the staff were amazed at all they have for the children to do at the event.  For more information on the event, click on the link below.
